Q1. What is stress incontinence?
Stress incontinence occurs when small amounts of urine leak accidentally. This can be caused by coughing, laughing, running, lifting, or virtually any activity that puts pressure (stress) on the pelvic floor muscles that support the bladder.
Q2. Is stress incontinence a “female only” problem?
No. Men suffer from stress incontinence, too – but it’s five times more likely to affect women.
Q3. How many women are affected by this problem?
It’s hard to say. Stress incontinence is a “taboo topic” – we’re embarrassed to talk about it, so we suffer in silence. It’s estimated that one in four women in Canada over the age of 40 suffer from stress incontinence. World Health Organization figures gauge the number at 100 million women worldwide.
Q4. I’m only 40 years old. Isn’t this an “old person’s” problem?
No. Stress incontinence is most prevalent among women 41 to 64 years old, but many women outside of that age range suffer from this problem as well. You’re not alone.
Q5. Is stress incontinence a treatable condition?
See your doctor if you experience any form of incontinence. He or she may suggest one of many options for treating this condition. Doing Kegel exercises properly and regularly is one way to help this very common issue. Limiting your fluid intake, reducing the amount of caffeine and alcohol you consume, and going to the bathroom regularly can all help. And, in some cases, your doctor may prescribe medication or recommend surgery.

Q7. Why did you create Femeeze?
One day our founder, Kim Dickson, sneezed. And that sneeze caused Kim to experience stress incontinence first-hand, for the first time. A few days later, she shyly recounted the experience to some friends over lunch. To her surprise, every woman at the table had a similar story to tell. Kim was curious, so she did some digging. She quickly learned that what she and her friends were experiencing was stress incontinence. When she found out that the one in four women over the age of 40 who are affected by stress incontinence usually suffer in silence, typically because they are too embarrassed to get help, she knew she had to do something – and Femeeze was conceived.

Absolutely! You’ll feel like you’re wearing regular panties, but with the added confidence that comes from not having to worry about moisture issues.
Q9. What makes Femeeze different from other incontinence products?
Plenty! Most other products on the market try to tackle the problem with bulky, uncomfortable pads or disposable undergarments reminiscent of adult diapers. Not exactly a pretty image when you’re wearing them – or when they end up later at the landfill. Femeeze panties look and feel just like regular panties because they are regular panties. Ultra-Fresh is an antimicrobial. We use Ultra-Fresh to treat our specially designed liner to eliminate odour, bacteria and mildew.

Q12. How do I care for my Femeeze panties?
Unlike adult disposable diapers, Femeeze panties are environmentally friendly. Wash them with your regular laundry and tumble dry!

Q14. What is your return policy?
Most of Femeeze.com products are intimate apparel. Given the nature and hygienic standards of panties, we are unable accept returns or refunds on these garments. All sales are final.
Q15 When can I expect delivery?
Femeeze products are shipped via the standard mail system. Please allow 2 – 3 weeks for regular delivery. If you need a “rush order” please contact us directly.
