Where did it come from?
When a simple sneeze caught Kim Dickson off guard, she was inadvertently introduced to the taboo topic of stress incontinence.
“I sneezed,” she recalls. “Everyone talks about an ‘A-ha’ moment, but mine was more of an ‘A-choo’ moment.”
As she researched stress incontinence, Kim was taken aback by the magnitude of the problem.
“Millions of women experience urinary incontinence,” she says. “Pregnancy, childbirth, menopause and the structure of the female urinary tract mean that women are twice as likely as men to suffer from this.”
The Toronto mother of three and self-described serial inventor felt she had to do something. Kim created Femeeze to allow women to carry on with their everyday activities with a sense of confidence and security.
